Juliette de Marcellus - History Session II

This class will encompass the outstanding personalities, events and artists of the 18th century. It will include historical figures such a Peter the Great and Captain Cook; philosophers such as Voltaire and John Locke, and the birth of science. It will include the leading figures in the arts: Composers such as Bach and Handel, and artists including Gainsborough and Mme. Vigée- Lebrun, as well as the first novelists. History’s changing movements, such as those leading to the French Revolution, will underlie the sessions.

For all Programs in Gubelmann Auditorium and Johnson Hall, all patrons ages 18 and older will be required to:

Show a photo ID
AND
Furnish proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the program
OR
Voluntarily show proof of COVID-19 vaccination occurring in the last six months

Please note, masks are required inside Four Arts buildings. 

Seating after the start of any performance is at the discretion of the House Manager.
